How Can a Man Serve a Master He does not Know?

There are many who say the serve God but have no clue who He is. They have no knowledge of His word and no idea of what He wants from them in life. If you do not take the time to get to know who God is how can you say you serve Him? If a son has never met his dad how would he know who his dad is and what his dad would want of him? In this same way how can a person, child of God, who has never spent time in prayer and never reads and studies His word for themselves know who God is and what He wants of them? This being true how can they, not knowing God, serve Him?

Who owns what?

John 17:1“Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you,

Jesus prays for "Father" to glorify Him so He may Glorify the "Father." I wonder what our world would look like if God's people started living this prayer. Jesus prayer it, yes, but we can pray and live it out.  "Father" blesses us that we may be a blessing. Everything we "OWN" here on earth belongs to God and is His to do with as He sees fit.  How many of us have truly dedicated all we have to Him and asked Him to do with it as He wishes? Is it not time we give back to God what is HIs already?
